Sierra Plugin Update Causes Log Errors

Hello, I use around 15 Sierra GX440 modems with GGS and they have been working great. Ever since Sierra plugin update on 8/11/15, the log files are now filled with the following after each position report: Aug 31 04:24:34 info ALEOS_EVENTS_dpRptSend: Sending UDP report to server IP=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, ...

RE: FEATURE: Mobile (major update).

Hello,

Just wondering if there was a timeframe on the next mobile release that (hopefully) solves the Safari login issue? Thanks.

RE: FEATURE: Mobile (major update).

Hi Andrew,

I can confirm it happens with or without autofill. I specifically deleted the autofill entry for the gpsgate website and and disabled password autofill and the error still occurred with manual entry. Thanks.

RE: FEATURE: Mobile (major update).

I'm using the latest official mobile release and I notice that when logging in with safari on iOS (8.3) it frequently fails with a red error box saying "Login failed with code: You are not member of a supported application". I have tried resetting all safari settings and clearing browser cache with ...

RE: FEATURE: Mobile (major update).

Agreed. I get this at least twice a week from my customers regardless how many times I explain. To most it still seems like an AVL "problem". Even some type of workaround would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Originally posted by marhe76 We are having the same problem as some have already mentioned;...

RE: FEATURE: Mobile (major update).

I agree with previous posters as well in requesting the ability to operate both in parallel for a while. My users rely on the mobile interface more than anything, and I'm not willing to make a change of this magnitude that I can't operate in parallel or roll-back. Also, in looking at the Mobile Plug...

Problem with Mobile and iOS8

I started getting a few reports yesterday regarding an issue with maps in VT Mobile running with iOS 8. After some testing I found the following: the mobile app works as expected when you browse directly to the mobile URL. However, when the page is "added to the homescreen", and accessed via this ic...

RE: Event action every x minutes while active

I don't believe it provides this in the GPS report data (I'll double check), but even if it did, I'm not sure how I could create an event that would send an email every XX hours while the battery voltage was below VV volts... Thanks!

RE: Event action every x minutes while active

jdewitt: Good thoughts, but in our application the typical scenario is for a fire truck that comes back to the station and the operator forgets to plug in the charging cord. Depending on the truck, it may reach low-voltage in under a day and the modem will then go off-line. In volunteer departments ...

RE: Event action every x minutes while active

Jdewitt: Thanks but I'm looking to have the event trigger when the vehicle goes offline (in my case this would happen if modem looses power, etc). So anything that relies on the device won't work.

RE: Event action every x minutes while active

Hello, Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to accomplish this with the current GGS options. I have multiple customers asking to be notified every xx hours when a vehicle remains offline - this is particularly useful for infrequently used emergency apparatus (fire boat, aerial truck, etc...

Report Privileges for Event Rules Visibility

I have a few limited users where I have used the _ReadEventRule privilege to limit which event rules they can see. However, when the user goes to create a report, they can still see all event rules under the EventRule drop-down. How can I stop this?

Thanks!

Event action every x minutes while active

I have a GGS system we use to monitor various emergency vehicles. I'm looking to make an event rule that triggers an email alert every 60 minutes while a vehicle is offline. I can make this happen once, but not repeatedly. Is there a way to do this?

Any help would be great. Thanks.
