RE: Incorrect date in OnGpsFix event at midnight

Hi Johan Is there any way to know what NMEA sentence has been parsed to generate the OnGpsFix event? ie is there any way to know if OnGpsFix has been called because a $GPRMC sentence was parsed and both date and time are valid. Or if a $GPGGA was parsed and only the time component is valid? I see th...

Incorrect date in OnGpsFix event at midnight

Hi The date provided in the GpsToolsNET.GpsFix object's UTC property seems to be incorrect at midnight. Version: 2.20 (version I have been using for ages, and still happens on 2.31 that i just trialled) I use NmeaParser.Parse on the following input sequence: Input 1: $GPRMC,235959.16,A,3353.4007,S,1...

RE: Problem creating virtual Port - Windows Mobile 5.0

Hello I'm having the same problem. (serial tools compact framework version running on a Windows CE 5.0 device) Error: [2] Failed to create device As with madein73, this occurs on every com port that I try. The same code works correctly on an HP iPAQ Pocket PC. Unfortunately, the device we are using ...

May or may not have any relevance:

I would probably also try a barebones GPS application instead of TomTom... to help track down the cause.

software slow down on some Windows CE devices

Hi We have been evaluating approximately 10 Windows CE devices from manufacturers in China, and on most of them GpsTools functions well. On 3 devices, as soon as the port for the GPS receiver has been opened, the application becomes a CPU hog, using nearly all of the CPU. The CPU utilisation is near...

RE: ArgumentOutOfRAngeException

I see this problem periodically on a Windows CE GPS device from China. The problem happens periodically, perhaps every few hours, and I tracked down the NMEA that was causing this. $GPRMC,072556.71,V,3353.1048,S,15114.5280,E,0,24.824,210109,0,W,N*10 $GPVTG,24.824,T,24.824,M,0,N,0,K,N*2C $GPGSA,A,1,2...

Failure on Windows CE 5 device

Hello I have been using SerialTools successfully on a number of different Windows Mobile 5 devices. We are now trying to test our software on a new Windows CE 5 device, without success. The installation appears to be successful. I run SerialToolsCERunTime.exe on the desktop, whilst ActiveSync is run...

NmeaParser.OnComStatus timeouts

Hello Until recently, I was using an older version of GpsTools, version 2.20. With it, there was a timeout of about 3 seconds after the loss of position information or NMEA data before the corresponding OnComStatus event was fired. Since upgrading to 2.30, this timeout seems to be alot longer... aro...

RE: ObjectDisposedException on ppc

Hey Pepper

Try my "two phase" solution above... I have never had a problem since implementing it. By the way, the timeout I use between the two phases is 500 ms.

Cheers

RE: PortEnabled locks up and other strange issues

Problem Update: The problem described in my original post may have been an inadvertent consequence of my test setup. I was trying to perform us much testing as possible in as short a time as possible in the same physical setup. From memory, I would have had perhaps between 15 and 25 Pocket PCs all p...

OnGpsFix problem with coordinates (0, 0)

Hello Our software logged a strange occurrence whereby OnGpsFix was called with coordinate (0, 0). (I probably should add that we were nowhere near the equator at the time). The setup was with GlobalSat GPS receivers (both models 338 and 359), and Asus A636 and HP rx5965 Pocket PCs running Windows M...

RE: Trouble getting GpsTools to start GpsGate

There is no version number in the DLL...

I thought that sending you the path might help

Are you expecting a version number in this particular DLL? What version should it be?

Thanks for your assistance!

RE: Trouble getting GpsTools to start GpsGate

GpsGate 2.5.0.247 (from about box)

I noticed in the registry:

HKLM\Software\Franson\GpsGate

InstallPath2 = \Program Files\GpsGate 2.0
GpsGate 2.5 starts ok from the program menu

GpsToolsNET.200.CF.dll, version = 1.0.2284.29272
