Hi All

I want to put an ellipse on a line at the half way point.

How can I work out that half way point?

Cheers

RE: .maplib Image disappears

The image disappears when drawing an ellipse on the map. The code is straight from the ongpsfix event simplemap sample. The only difference is my program opens different maplibs. After loading the 18th maplib the ellipse gets set to nothing and the image disappears. Like I said in the 1st post if I ...

RE: .maplib Image disappears

Thanks Jonas I've changed my code to use events instead of the timer. The result is the same. Can I email you some of my code to have a look at? When the image dissappears it throws and error onto the screen '87:CreateDIBSection() failed' Does this give you a clue. I haven't upgraded to 2.3 yet, I'l...

.maplib Image disappears

I've got an application that gets satellite information using a timer (every 5 seconds). The applications uses several different .maplib files. The user presses a hardware button to get the next .maplib file using. Map1.Open("\My Documents\RAC\" & intNextFile & ".MapLib") After scrolling through the...

I've got a 2km x 2km square aerial photo that I want to divide up into areas of a certain size and create a maplib file for each area. This only way I seem to be able to do this is to calibrate each map individually. What I want to be able to do is calibrate 3 points on a 2km x 2km jpeg file then se...

RE: Steady Decline in free memory? eVB

After further investigation. It's not OnGpsFix where the leak occurs, it when I create the object. If I create it with events the memory steadily leaks, regardless whether there is a fix or not. If I create without events then I don't have the memory leak. I've got no idea if this is a eVB thing or ...

Steady Decline in free memory? eVB

When my app hits the code in sub objParser_OnGpsFix. The amount of free memory (settings > Memory) decreases steadily until it hangs the device Pocket PC2002. Below is my code any help would be appreciated. I've adapted code from the examples in the GPStools toolkit. Private Sub objParser_OnGpsFix(o...

Directional Arrow

I want to use an arrow (icon) that points to a fixed point on a map. I could create 360 bitmaps with an arrow that points at each degree, work out the degrees between the fix and the fixed point and have the program then select the correct arrow (icon) to position on the map?? Is there a simplier wa...

RE: Maplib position

All of my maps (bitmaps) are same size 130 by 260 pixels. So the center is 65 x 260.
can you give me a sample piece of code? based on this I can't seem to set 'point'.

Thanks
Simon

RE: Maplib position

Sorry if these are dumb questions I'm new at this.

When do I set the map.postion? Do I need to get the co-ordinates of the center of the map and set these at the .position?
I really need the map to be in the correct position as soon as I call the .update method after opening the map

Maplib position

The .bmp I scaled doesn't display properly in the map control (evb). It looks to have a large white border which pushes the picture down and to the right. I did have it working. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
