Bluetooth GPS Configuration Error

Johan, I am using Windows XP Pro SP2, GpsGate v2.6.0.334, i.Trek M5+, and iogear bluetooth dongle GBU421 using the included WidComm 5.5.0.7900 bluetooth software. I changed from the WIndows Bluetooth Stack because I got a pair of Bluetooth headphones for Christmas, that I wanted to use with my compu...

RE: GPSGate and 64 bit Vista

I can't help you with your main problem but as to the license key once you enter the license key it accepts it but does not leave the info in the fields such that if you open the license entry box the fields are empty.

RE: how to create virtual serial port as COM1-4?

COM3 & COM4 may have been alloacted to something like an internal phone modem or some other device that has been connected to your laptop at some point in time (ie. I have com ports assigned to phone modem, blackberry, etc.). Not sure if that accounts for your issue.

RE: Connecting Garmin Nuvi 260W

Search on Garmin Nuvi in this forum and you will see a method which MIGHT work with your 260W as it works on many Garmin GPS units.

RE: Crashes my streets and trips 2008...

S&T requires a NMEA input. If you are using a Garmin GPS then you would need to use the "Garmin COM / Garmin to NMEA" as GpsGate input to convert the Garmin protocol to NMEA protocol.

RE: CoordTrans Compatibility with Office 2007 Access

Johan,

Thanks for the quick response. Since I have the work-around of keeping the database in the old Access format for now this is not a "show-stopper". I would like to see your program be compatible with Office 2007 fomat in the not too distant future though.

CoordTrans Compatibility with Office 2007 Access

Johan, Do you have plans to update CoordTrans to be compatible with Access 2007 format?[?] My company has upgraded to Office 2007 and while I can continue to use the older Access file formats it would be useful to upgrade my database to the new format. Thanks & great products (Coordtrans and GpsGate...

Johan, just wanted to check in and see if you had any plans to update CoordTrans to handle the "°" in coordinate formats? Looks like the questions was raised by someone else recently.

RE: Saving Processing Parameters via "Save As"

LNG, What type of file do you have your original coordinates in (Excel, Access, CSV, etc.)? My answer was specific to Fdarland because his original data was in an Access database. The wizard is available under the "tools" menu on the program main screen. If you select "tools" then "wizards" it gives...

RE: Saving Processing Parameters via "Save As"

If you have done the transformation on an access table using the wizard in CoordTrans then there should be a file with the extension ".ctxml" in your "My Documents" folder that is the settings file. I have an access table that is part of an access database (Data Search 02.mdb) and the use of the wiz...

RE: convert excel file in DMS

Not sure what format you want to convert your data to based on your post but my recommendation would be to do an Excel "search & replace" function to replace any "N"s and "E"s with "" and replace any "S"s and "W"s with "-" to get the correct signs on the lat/long data. Then you could use the Separat...

RE: GpsGate & Google Maps

As Johan stated the Plugin Pack is no longer supported so if you have a problem with it your own your own, but it does work with older versions of IE. Here is the location:
