Custom Grid parameters wanted for openstreetmaps

I want to use raster map tiles downloaded from OpenStreetMaps in GpsView. I learned that OpenStreetMaps uses the same projection as Google Maps, which is a Spherical Mercator projection. I trust I need to define a custom grid to define Maplibs that are build from these maps? Or can I use a standard ...

Saving a merged maplib

Is it possible to save merged maplibs into one large maplib file? I noticed the function is available in GpsToolsStudio, but I can't get it to work in MapLib API. The Merge function is part of GpsViewXP.Map, but this doesn't have a .Save method. The MapLib API has a .Save method, but no .Merge method.

RE: Slow load of images with less color depth

Do you see the same difference in loading times? Are there other ways to decrease the maplib size, besides the color depth? I trust it is a compressed format? There might be a way to adjust the level of compression, like in the JPG format? This would effect the quality of the image of course, but yo...

Slow load of images with less color depth

I'm encountering problems with building Maplibs using the Maplib API. To decrease the size of my maplibs (so they will fit on a flash memory card) I decreased the color depth of my source maps (from 16M colors to 256 colors). On this forum I read that this would help, and it does. The size of a sing...

RE: Unable to scale a map with use of .Zone property

[xx(] How dumb can one be... It was indeed very obvious in the code snippet I posted, because the Pos1 and Pos2 were written directly underneath eachother. In the original code I simply did not notice that I used Pos1 3 times [:I]: If iDatum <> -1 Then Pos1.Datum = iDatum If iZone <> -1 Then Pos1.Zo...

Unable to scale a map with use of .Zone property

I have build my own map scaling app because scaling each map individually with GpsToolsStudio would take too much time. So far I never experienced any problems, but now I have to scale a map with the coordinates stated in UTM North, Zone 32. When I open the resulting maplib in GpsToolsStudio I see s...

Bug while scaling in GpsToolsStudio

When i press the Enter button after each scaling wizard step instead of clicking the 'Next' button it fails to scale the map. Northing is set to 0

Tested with 2.3.1. and 2.3.0

Opening a maplib

I assigned GpsToolsStudio as the default application for .MapLib files and expected a MapLib to open automatically when double clicked. Instead, GpsToolsStudio does open, but with an empty maplib.

Maybe an idea for future versions?

That's written in C#. There are a lot of examples in VB as well.

RE: FixedSize shapes are faster?

Jonas? Johan?

I hate to be impatient, but my app is a bit slow now and i was wondering is this "fixedsize" thing could improve it. Could you please take a look at my questions?

FixedSize shapes are faster?

The manual states that shapes with fixedsize=true are faster. What exactly becomes faster? Shape generation or also other methods like FindClosestVector, which I use quite a lot. I also iterate through shapes a lot, is this also faster for fixed sized shapes? Then.. when i generate a fixed size shap...
