Bluetooth turn off discovering devices

Hi,

When I'm discovering devices, sometimes the bluetooth turns off and get the error "device inquiry failed". How can avoid this behavior?

Regards,

Carlos

Failed enable/disable bluetooth

Hi!

I tried to use the library enabling and disabling bluetooth (to save battery), but I found that if I restart bluetooth, the library can't detect it. If I restart the program, the library works fine.

Are there any function to reinitialize the library?

Thanks,

RE: Turn On/Off Widcomm Stack

I tried to start and kill bttrayce.exe, that enable/disable the bluetooth, but it doesn't work.

Another possibility is to use LoadStack/UnloadStack functions from wbtapiCE.dll. Do you know if that way could work out?

Thanks,

Carlos

RE: Set default bluetooth printer

Hi Jonas,

If you write more keys under the branch HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BtConfig\AutoConnect\0006 it appears to work. You must write ClassID, ServiceName, ... , and BtBrowserEnabled.

Thanks,

RE: Set default bluetooth printer

Hi,

Yes, I've tried this solution before, but I doesn't work (the key in bluetooth printers is HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BtConfig\AutoConnect\0006).

I'll keep searching.

Thanks for all!

RE: Set default bluetooth printer

Hi, It could be something about bluetooth configuration after bonding the device. The screen title is "Bluetooth Console", so I think it doesn't depend on printer model. If I check the registry before and after select the printer in this screen, I can see that the branch that is modified is SOFTWARE...

Set default bluetooth printer

Hi, The library works fine detecting and bonding devices on my PDA (QTEK 9090). Whith the SDK, I can detect and connect a printer (brother MW-140BT) to a serial port. But the fist time I try to print, I get a screen that ask me what is the default device to use (whith a check to remember the choose)...

RE: Widcomm stack timeout

Thanks Johan.
If I start a new discovery I get the same timeout exception. I tried to make the discover in a loop, but I can't get the devices.

Widcomm stack timeout

If I make the discover using Control Panel/Bluetooth, then DiscoverDevices() works OK (but it takes about 1 min). Then I can use Bluetools wit...
