RE: Installation of Native BlueTools.dll

Johan,

Worked just as you said, although I had to search through the forums in order to get the right set on the PPC. You folks may want to make that a bit clearer. That aside, thanks for the help.

RE: Installation of Native BlueTools.dll

Johan,

Thanks, I will give this a shot. I want to be able to use multiple versions of BlueTools so this is important.

Thanks,
Chris

RE: Installation of Native BlueTools.dll

Just copy? There's no registry entries that need to be made or anything like that?

RE: BlueTools Future Direction

Johan, I am working with 2 different devices. I'll describe one of them. The device sends me data once every second. It sends me a data packet that is 375 bytes long. Originally, I used SerialTools for this and the OnRead event was perfect for it. However, using the BlueTools, I have new issues to d...

BlueTools Future Direction

Hello,

I am wondering if you folks are able to give us a peak into your plans for BlueTools in future revs? I am using the latest BlueTools, but it is falling short for me, so I need to evaluate where your plans are going vs. where my needs are . . . Any insight?

Is ServiceStream.BeginRead really asynchronous?

I've been reading some of the MSFT docs on System.IO.Stream and the BeginRead asynch call is really just a sync call to Read, so I am wondering if the ServiceStream.BeginRead is a "real" asynch call or if it is just using the System.IO.Stream.BeginRead() method?

BlueTools vs. SerialTools

I have used both BlueTools and SerialTools for connecting to Bluetooth devices and I just wanted to pass along my observations on using the 2 libraries . . . Serial Tools: What I like: 1.) Ease of use. 2.) OnRead event. This is hugely useful when you are getting data sent periodically to the receivi...

RE: OnRead event for future versions?

Johan, Thanks for the insight into where you folks are headed. I think I figured out my timing issue. The bluetooth device (transmitting) that I am working with is sending data once a second. That data is a byte[375], of which I am looking for a section that is byte[75]. I slept the thread for 900ms...

OnRead event for future versions?

Hello, I was using the SerialTools for my previous BlueTooth access, and I am now switching to BlueTools. I am wondering if there are any plans to include similar functionality as the Port.OnRead event in the SerialTools? This was enormously successful and took a lot of the timing issues I am curren...

Manager.GetManager().Parent

I am going to have multiple forms in the same application that will need to use the Manager. Can I attach to each form like this each time I need to use it?

Manager.GetManager().Parent = this

or will this cause problems?

Regards,
Chris
