RE: NmeaParser.Dispose never returns

Which version of GPSTools do you use?
Do you use the NmeaParser in multi-threading mode? (nmeaparser.Parent = null)

Before GpsTools 2.3.1 build 225 there was a bug in multi-threaded mode in the Dispose method of the NmeaParser. Maybe this is your problem?

Simulation using class NmeaParser

Hi there, I have a question about the class NmeaParser in GPSTools (newest version). I use the following code to feed the NmeaParser instance with NMEA sentences: private void simulateTimer_Tick(object sender, EventArgs e) { string s = nmealogstreamreader.ReadLine(); if (s == null) { CloseSimulateRe...

RE: ObjectDisposedException on ppc

Hi janpub, the race condition in class NMEAParser still remains! I use your GPSToolsNET CF2.0 version 2.3.1 Build 216 and get the same problem as Ronny. I get also an ObjectDisposedException after I call the Dispose method on the NMEAParser. I use the NMEAParser in multithreaded mode (nmeaParser.Par...

lost NMEA sentences "GSA"

I have the problem that the NMEA sentence "GSA" is not in the NMEA sentences I get from the event NmeaParser.Generic.

So the question is: Contains the event "Generic" all the NMEA sentences that the gps device is receiving or do you filter this sentences?

RE: Argument Out Of Range Exception

Hi, I get the same exception on an Vodafone VPA compact GPS (Trinity 100) OS: 5.1.461 (Like HTC P-3600 but with internal GPS) Argument out of range exception at system.date.time.datetoticks() at system.date.time..ctor() at gpstoolsnet.gpsfix.get_utc() at GPS toolsnet.nmeaparser.doevent() at gps tool...

RE: Auto detection

There exists an built-in program which is called "GPSLocator" but this is not active. (it is not listed in the system-dialog as an executed program) And if this program would lock up the port, why can I access the port when I specify the correct port and baudrate? It is just the auto detection which...

RE: Auto detection

If I use the PocketLoox with an external GPS it also works. But it is not possible to find the internal GPS on port 8 and 9600 baudrate. I have also tested my small application on an other PDA with internal GPS and it also works. The difference is that this internal GPS device uses a baudrate of 480...

RE: Auto detection

Ok, I have studied your example, but this is the same as I do. I found out that it works with my HP iPAQ and an external Bluetooth GPS. But if I use my FS PocketLoox 560 with internal GPS then it doesn't work. Could this be caused by the fact that the internal GPS could only be reached by the port 8...

Auto detection

Hi there, I need help by implementing the auto detection on a gps-port and baudrate. (I use GPSTools 3.2.1) I try this: parser.ComPort = 0; parser.PortEnabled = true; Which event should raise if GPSTools finds a GPS device on a port? And how can I determine if no port is found? Does GPS-Tools check ...

Position.Altitude contains Geoid correction?

Hi all,
Can someone tell me if the Position.Altitude already contains the Geoid correction from the GGA sentence?

RE: Got Error: [21] Error setting DTR

Hi Johan, I got an information for you: The error I described above does only occur if I connect to the virtual port from Windows Mobile 5 (new built in port splitter from Microsoft). If I connect directly to the hardware port then all works well. By the way: What does the Messsage: "[10007] Could n...

Got Error: [21] Error setting DTR

Hi all,
can someone tell me what the messeage "[21] Error setting DTR" means?
I get it if I try to connect on an virtual port on a Windows Mobile 5 device. I use the built-in portsplitter of WM 5. (no additional software)

Thanks for help
Karin
