RE: Signal Strength Property Unit

Is there someone who has tried to retrieve this value (RSSI) on an HP iPAQ 24xx PDA? I've tried it and the software always returns 0; I'm wondering if this is normal (not supported by the hardware) or due to some incorrect setting in de Broadcom manager.

Best regards

Signal Strength Property Unit

Hello The BlueTools documentation mentions a signal strenth property located in the interval [-10,+10]. I'm wondering if this value is just an indicator (very low, low, ..., high, very high), if there's a unit associated with it, or if it is possible to calculate a value in some unit (e.g. dBm) from...

Stream QoS

Hi

What are the QoS properties of the ServiceStreams provided by BlueTools? Do they guarantee delivery? Is it guaranteed an exception will be generated if the delivery of a number of bytes cannot be performed?

Thanks

No service discovery with beta 11

When I replace the BlueTools beta 10 dll's with the beta 11 versions, my pocket pc application is unable to detect any (BlueTools/non-BlueTools) services on peer devices. Restoring the old versions fixes the problem (but makes the app hang again if no services are available on a device). I've tried ...

Synchronous Service Discovery makes BT hang on PPC

I think there might be a bug in BlueTools that makes a pocketpc application hang when running a synchronous service discovery on a bluetooth device that exposes no services. I tried a (self-written[;)]) demo application for pocket pc that looks for a certain service on devices. When a device is sear...

RE: Exception raised by service advertise

A few minutes ago I tried the same sample on an HP iPAQ hx2490 (Widcomm Stack). Worked just fine! I guess it has something to do with the Winsock WSASetService call. I've read that the creation of a SDP record for the Microsoft stack is quite hard; do you use some kind of dummy record with GUID and ...

Exception raised by service advertise

When I build and deploy the SimpleService sample to my PocketPC, an ApplicationException is raised. Cause: "Invalid parameters in WSASetService() call". I use a Dell Axim x51 Windows Mobile 5 PocketPC (Microsoft Stack) and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
