RE: When is it necessary to use Stream.Flush()?

Hi, I think you had a Post up regarding 'Cheap BT Dongles' not using Microsoft/Widcomm Stacks, and whether Bluetools would support the other stacks used by these cheap dongles. Did you get a response to this because i could no longer find your Post? I have a similar situation and am also waiting for...

Bluetooth Stack

Hi I understand that Bluetools only supports the Microsoft & Widcomm stacks. Is there a major technical reason why only these stacks are supported and other stacks can't be supported, or is it just something you have not currently looked into doing i.e future versions of Bluetools will support other...

RE: Internal Bluetooth adaptor

Hi, Thanks for information thus far. I have a Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Internal Module, Toshiba Bluetooth Stack v4.00.22D. You say that only Microsoft and Widcomm Stacks are supported by BlueTools, therefore do you know if it's possible to change the driver for this internal bt module to make use...

Internal Bluetooth adaptor

Hi, I have a Franson bluetools licence and use the product in a windows service to advertise a SPP service discoverable via a mobile phone application. This seemed to work fine (although some stability problems which i'll revist later) when using an external usb bluetooth adaptor. I have recently go...

RE: BlueTools running in Windows Service

Thanks. I tried setting the SCN but compiler suggests that it is a readonly property? have following code: m_service = new LocalService(ServiceType.SerialPort, "MySerialService", "My Serial Service"); m_service.Address.ServiceChannelNumber = 67; Error: Property or indexer 'Franson.BlueTools.Address....

RE: BlueTools running in Windows Service

Thanks for the very quick response. As you say there will be a user controlling the Mobile. If I can set the Service Name and also the SCN then it sounds like the Mobile should be able to automatically discover the service by Service Name & SCN? Can you direct me as to how to set the Service Name an...

RE: BlueTools running in Windows Service

Hi Sounds like BlueTools might be the one to use. I was running some tests yesterday and realized that there might be many SerialPort Services exposed by my PC, by many different applications unrelated to my application. My mobile phone application discovering my PC will look for Serial Port Service...

BlueTools running in Windows Service

Hi I'm evaluating the use of BlueTools running from a Windows Service written in C#.NET (running on a PC) The service wakes up every few minutes creates a serial port service and receives some data from a bluetooth device. I'm concerned about leaving the stack drivers loaded as I understand they mig...

Finding Blue Tooth COM Ports

Hi I have a bluetooth dongle installed on my PC, which seems to be assigned to COM11 and COM12. I assume these are Virtual Serial Ports created when the bluetooth dongle gets installed. Is there a way of determining in a C#.NET app, via your tools, which COM ports are assigned to the Bluetooth Dongl...

Virtual Serial Port for Blue Tooth Communication

Hi Is it possible to create a Virtual Serial Port in a Windows .NET application. Open this Serial Port in the same app to be used by a Mobile phone app, via bluetooth, to send data to? I have a bluetooth dongle installed on my PC, which are assigned to COM11 and COM12. I assume these are Virtual Ser...
