RE: Problem with My SQL,installing GPS Gate server 4.0

You can find the command line by clicking the Start button and typing "mysql", then clicking the command line application. It should prompt for your password.

Another possible solution for your problem can be found here: http://stackoverflow.com/a/20043807

RE: Panels with separate views?

Johan,

I do understand that, but was just wondering if it's *possible* to be done in the way I am describing.

Thanks,

RE: Panels with separate views?

Fredrik, It doesn't need to receive live updates, if that is what you mean. The purpose is to allow users to edit and save their information (such as name and phone number) in a separate area within the same workspace. The concept of listing Operators in the "Vehicles" panel is confusing to some peo...

Panels with separate views?

Is there any way to create a panel or window that displays users belonging to a different view than those in the Vehicles panel? My goal is to have an "Operators" list that is separate from the "Vehicles" list, with both appearing in the same workspace. Any guidance on this would be appreciated. Tha...

A regular usb cable won't work -- you need something they call "Data_Cable_M" (Google it for more info). Otherwise it's not too difficult to configure via SMS.

RE: Use of context.getState in Script Expression

Thanks for your response. I successfully implemented this in a script and it works well. In case anybody is looking for this information, here is the basic outline of what I did: if (!context.state) { context.setState ({"a":"","b":""}); } var state=context.state; state.a = "abc"; state.b = "xyz"; co...

RE: Use of context.getState in Script Expression

Do you mean JSON in conjunction with context.getState, or to just use a JSON object on its own? The disadvantage of the latter is that the script will always need to begin by checking if the object exists (and create it if it does not exist).

Use of context.getState in Script Expression

In a multiple-event script expression I'm working on, there is a need to save certain values for each event between evaluations. Normally this is done with context.setState and context.state, but here it is necessary to save separate values for each event. The object tree seems to offer a solution: ...

Now that you raise the topic - http://unwiredlabs.com also seems very good. They allow 1500 requests free per month.

RE: offline position event rule

Could it be that your device is sending up buffered messages? These would presumably appear in the report according to their timestamp, not according to the actual time the messages arrived. The offline expression would not trigger unless there has been no communication at all from the device.

RE: GUDIE: Multiple events per event rule and device.

Hi,

I am working on a multiple-event script, and can't quite figure out how to preserve states between evaluations. The context.getState method returns an error when the state is undefined (i.e. the first time the rule is evaluated). Is there some way to get around this?

Thanks,

Make sure that you update Cleanup from beta.gpsgate.com

Ah, I missed that! After updating Cleanup, the option indeed appeared.

This is a very useful plugin. How do I set up archiving for data deleted by Cleanup? I didn't see that option anywhere.

RE: Event Rules: variables list with description

Thanks for this list. Geofence | [GEOFENCE_NAME] | The name of the Tag assigned to the geofence I have found that [GEOFENCE_NAME] references the actual name given to the geofence, not its tag. Incidentally - this variable often does not resolve correctly in notifications. In one email notification i...
