RE: FEATURE: Android device tracking

When the devices come back into the office, I see that there is a progress bar but it doesn't seem to do much of anything and all checkboxes are orange. Out of 4 devices, all four have gone offline multiple times today and only when I reopen the app and connect it to wifi does it appear to do anythi...

RE: FEATURE: Android device tracking

I've been experiencing connectivity issues with 1.0.151 where the device simply disconnects and it doesn't seem as though it is reconnecting. The server logs show: [10/19/2015 2:00:42 PM] (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:27961/GpsGate/tcp) Disconnect [10/19/2015 1:53:02 PM] (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:27961/GpsGate/tcp) Info:...

RE: Motorbike tracking & update intervals

Thanks for the response! I spoke with a representative of theirs and they said all their models are AGPS capable so I'll look for that option in the settings.

Motorbike tracking & update intervals

I've been using my Android phone with the GPSgate app to track my motorbike but I've had some issues with it and was considering getting a dedicated tracker for the motorbike. So far I've seen one by Queclink (GMT-200) but I had a few questions about these. 1. Are they very accurate? 2. How quickly ...

RE: FEATURE: Android device tracking

I'm experiencing bugs with the latest Android client where the GPS or connection to the server will somehow uncheck themselves and we have to walk the person closest to the client through the process of rechecking them. Is there a way to force the checkboxes to remain checked? It's disconcerting to ...

OpenLayers - Search for coordinates

I've noticed that the standard Google Maps plugin has a search box in the lower left however when coordinates are input into it, it strips off some of the digits in longer coordinates and the end result is not as accurate. This is more a limitation of Google Maps than anything else however it would ...

RE: TC68S: SOS button event not appearing in Terminal

I managed to figure it out.

I had to map EventID to the Error Number output. For some reason, the default EventID is 35 but when the SOS button is activated, it turns to 1 (after watching the output in the terminal) so I set an event to watch for that.

All fixed now :)

TC68S: SOS button event not appearing in Terminal

I have the TC68S and I have it set up with GPRS and added to my GPSserver instance however I'm not seeing the SOS button event appearing in the Terminal. I have it set to send an SMS to my phone when the SOS is sent but it should also register something in the logs and the GPSGate main dashboard how...

RE: Trackers with SOS and OBDII reading?

Thanks for the information, we're looking to purchase in the next couple weeks so I don't think we can hold out for the AX9.

Where can I find more information about the RS4-5 cables? The brochure for the AX7 only has details about the optional battery and wireless immobilizer.

Trackers with SOS and OBDII reading?

Apologies for yet another tracker question but I recently discovered that the Meitrack TC68S does not read engine information from the OBDII port, it just uses it for power. I'm looking for (preferably) and OBDII devices that can read engine diagnostic information from the OBDII port as well as has ...

RE: How well do OBDII trackers work?

Thanks, that's very helpful. If we were to go all out we'd get a device that engine cut-off abilities but those would take quite a bit of effort to install. Would you recommend getting the extension cord with the TC68s? I'm not sure where the OBDII port is located on the cars we'll be installing the...

How well do OBDII trackers work?

I've been considering getting OBDII trackers rather than some of the more robust devices that require being hard-wired into the car but I'm curious about how well the OBDII devices work. OBDII ports are usually in harder-to-reach places (beneath the dashboard, etc.) but GPS requires line-of-sight to...

Mapbox would be a great addition, they're extremely developer friendly and it would allow a great deal of customization of the map based on the user's needs.

Android App - Pooled disconnects

I have a phone using the GPSgate app and randomly it went offline. When looking at the terminal, this is what I saw: [3/16/2015 8:38:28 AM] (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:52143/GpsGate/tcp) Disconnect [3/16/2015 8:33:02 AM] (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:52143/GpsGate/tcp) Info: Pooled Disconnect [3/16/2015 8:32:31 AM] (xxx.xx...
