Aspicore 2.x problems

Fri Jan 25, 2008 1:55 am

Hello friends,

I have Nokia 6620 and I have tried to install the java client but I have not been able to :topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6700

But johan(thanks!) guided me this location topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5986

I downloaded the software and installed it.

Changed the settings according to Spen2, added my IMEI number to my account at gpsgate.com

It connects to the GPS and GPRS but my position is not updated.

I have done settings in Basic tab and in HTTP tab Http Protocol is off.

Please guide me to make this thing work.

Thanks again

To check that your carrier's Internet Access Point works with UDP protocol you can do as follows:

Set GPRS Server IP to 217.152.56.226
Clear the "Optional hostname" field.
Set GPRS Server Port to 1002

Make a new connection with the new settings as follows:
Disconnect GPRS
Connect GPRS

Send test message:
Options -> GPRS data -> Send GPRS test msg

With your computer web browser navigate to http://www.toimii.com/gps/gprstest/
Enter your IMEI and click "Send"
Do you see a timestamped "GPRS Test Msg" there?

If not, then send another test message. If still not working, reboot the phone and check your IAP settings.

If the test message goes through successfully, restore gpsgate.com settings to the phone. You know at least that the IAP works with UDP data.

HI JJE,

I have tried everything but ntn seems to work . I didnt see any GPRS test messages. I think my phone IAP doesnt support UDP.

I might have to wait to buy new phone and throw away my Nokia 6620

Thanks all you guys!![:(]
