Hi Gabor

I followed your instructions to setup the Camera on the Meitrack MVT600 unit.
I however want to setup the automated picture taken on SOS alarm as per your description here.
I cannot find the Rule in the expression "_pictureName" u refer to -
Can you please assist.

I also get errors when I send a command to the unit:
_TakePicture :It just progress to 1/3 and nothing further happens
Get Picture :Missing Picture Nam Parameter (maybe as a result that the command to take picture did not execute and there are no pictures available)

Will appreciate any assistance
Regards

Hi JohnnyT

You can find the "PictureName" variable within "String compare" group. So make sure you select that group when you are adding a new expression. If you still do not find it, please check the device mapper of your MVT 600 device. You should have two mapping to make this work: EventID -> EventCode, PictureName -> PictureName.

To solve the other errors, please use the terminal window to record messages when you send command to the unit. If you see any errors in terminal or the command seems to be stuck, you can send an email to support-at-gpsgate .com with detailed description and complete terminal log.

When will this be made available for the Meitrack T1 models? They use the same protocols so it should be easy, no?

Hi sene,

Please record a terminal session of the device data when you are testing, and sent it to support [at] gpsgate.com email address. You can open the terminal window if you right click on the vehicle and select terminal menu. Which version of Meitrack and Camera plugin are you using?

(Note: the Picturename mapping is not necessary when you take picture manually using the Take Picture menu)

Hi Gabor,

It was the power that was the issue. I was not using the unit powersupply and only the internal battery.

I think the camera does not use the MVT600 own internal battery as such when i connect the power cord to the MVT600 it started working.

This camera feature is pretty cool.
