Gpstools and Windev

Fri Jul 30, 2010 12:42 am

Hello,

I'm using Gpstools for years on a pocket pc.
Now I would like to develop an application with Windev :

display a map and a moving object. But I don't know where to begin...

Do you have any experience with Windev and Gpstools ?
Must I work with the Active X ?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I have installed Gpstools Active X for Windows.

These files have been installed in c:\windows\system2
GpsToolsXP230.dll
GpsShapeXP230.dll
GpsViewXP230.dll
I have registered these files : regsvr32 gps...

When I run WDXVIEW (an ActiveX browser coming with Windev) I can not see te ActiveX installed.

What is wrong ?
Thanks
Mario

My precedent message was incorrect.
In fact I have registered the following files :
GpsToolsXP230.dll
GpsShapeXP230.dll
GpsViewXP230.dll

When browsing the ActiveX I can only see : map class which is part of GpsviewXP230.dll.
But I don't see the class contained in GpsToolsXP230.dll

Why ?

What is the name of the class (contained in GpstoolsXP230.dll) I should see ?

Thanks
Mario

I have installed Gpstools on another machine running Windows XP.

Same problem :
when browsing the Active X I only see map class (from gpsviewxp230.dll)

But I don't see the classes from GpstoolsXP230.dll.

A little help would be appreciated.

This problem is totally independent of Windev.

Thanks
Mario
