I have been trying unsuccessfully to get the transformation in CT to match one in my database software because CT is much more robust. My database conversion has UTM 16 listed, no grid and no N/S. Since the Lat/Lon input datum is hardcoded WGS84, I'm assuming that's also the datum for the UTM grid.
I tried every UTM 16 grid I can find in CT (any datum) for the Gulf of Mexico and the x-y's don't even come close. The really frustrating part is an interactive online converter from Montana State University converts the data perfectly using only WGS84 and UTM16 specified. I'm obviously missing something but at this point, I don't know what.
Helpful suggestions are gratefully appreciated.
