Template for Teltonika FMB120

Tue Jul 25, 2017 6:43 pm

Hello,

is there any recommendation which template fits best with the new Teltonika FMB120 at the moment ? It's similar to FMA120 but has Bluetooth and some more additional features. Thanks for hints in advance.

Guess it depends on what features you are going to use (can, obd etc.).

guess you may use any teltonika driver that maps the fields you are looking for.

I'm going to test fmb120 with bluetooth obd2 very soon

FMA120 is a replacement device from FM1120 so all input/output and most signal are the same. FMA120 can connect to LV-CANN, ALL-CANN , currently FMA120 use plugin of FM1120 work most features. I suggest developer add features to FMA120.
FMB120 is another upgrade from FMA120 just bluetooth that can connect Bluetooth OBD, headphone, bluetooth temperature sensor and other bluetooth device...
As described above I suggest developer add features to FMB120 similar to FMA120 plus bluetooth device features.

Thanks
Best regards

Dear support team,

Thanks for update plugin for FMB120 support bluetooth OBD, but yet full features same as FMA120.
As I mentioned on 26-Jul-2017 in this topic, FMB120 is an upgrade from FMA120 such as add Bluetooth support buletooth OBD or other sensor, Dual SIM, MicroSD memory. Beside that other features the same.
Suggest again add to FMB120 : I/O, Driver behavior, Cell ID.......... and more, same to FMA120.

Thanks
Best regards

This: http://www.tonwon.co.uk/shop/automotive-diagnostics/tonwon-pro-bluetooth-obd2/ (guess any ELM compatible will do)

Have some problems with long reconnect time after deep sleep - sometimes up to 15 - 20 min - and see unwanted dtc code clear. Going to update the fmb firmware to 03.01.04 and investigate further. The problems only occur with FMB120 connected - never seen with Torque.

Awaiting updated gpsgate teltonika device mapper to read the fault codes from OBD dongle or CAN200/CAN300. A new device mapper supporting crash data is just released.

With the Tonwon OBD device Fuel level is not available, I tested on a few vehicles including VW and Toyota
Do you get the Fuel level or consumption reading?

I got fuel level (tank %) but no consumption - guess it is car dependant as fmb1xy apparently queries the dongle for standard values and not all cars implements all standard values. I calculate consumption from Mass Air Flow (MAF) which should be generally available.

Any other comments regarding FMB120?
