GARMIN Com not working

Thu Apr 20, 2006 6:31 am

I have my eTrex Legend set to Garmin mode and Wizard can't detect. Also when I clink 'Open' when attempting to manually configure, GpsGate does nothing (eg: it stays closed with no messages).

I switch to NMEA mode on the GPS and everything works fine.

I don't know if it maters but my GARMIN uses 4800..and has no option to move it up to 9600

Hi!

The wizard will only detect Garmin devices that are configured to use the baud rate 9600. This is the standard specified in the Garmin protocol specification. Does your device work with e.g. nRoute, MapSource etc? Can it be auto-detected by nRoute?

In any case, the Garmin serial plugin isn't properly implemented in beta 1. It will be available and working in beta 2. Thanks for your patience!

nRoute and MapSource autodetect the eTrex no problem
