The new requirement that all communication be over SSL in order to use geolocation is creating issues relating to GPS in Browser. GPS in Browser does not appear to support SSL. Can anyone assist on how to approach this? Thank you.

Here is the error:

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://xxxxx/index2.html' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://localhost:12175/javascript/GpsGate.js'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

GPS in Browser does not support SSL. There are currently no plans to add support for SSL.

Is there an update on this? With GPS in chrome requiring HTTPS, GPS in browser is essentially defunct. I get a position reported but it won't update and it's normally hundreds of miles off.
