GPSGate Client not replying

Tue Aug 30, 2016 10:49 pm

I'm working on a project that uses GPSGATE Client (2.6.0.402) and I'm having some issues with getting the software to post to the server.
Based on the documentation it should be working. Here is a typical log I have.
Software to server: $FRLIN,,MOB55,GHVG*2D
Server to Software: $FRSES,137118835*6A

Then nutin. Silence...and it times out. Can you think of a logical reason the client isn't replying with $FRWDT,NMEA*78 and then dumping coords like the documentation claims it should be?

Connect it to GpsGate Server and use the Terminal to see the communication in detail.

Download and install GpsGate Server here:
http://gpsgate.com/download/gpsgate_server

Connect GpsGate Splitter to GpsGate Server like this:
http://gpsgate.com/support/connect_to_y ... ate_server

And read about the Terminal here:

I need a log on the the client not the server side. The server side terminal log is where I got those messages

Hi...as per my knowledge at least for users who have the Toshiba BT stack on their laptop. Should work for any laptop that has a BT stack that includes a BT Com port that can be connected to. I just made my laptop visible and then searched for it on the mobile device and added the com port. In my circumstance the laptop com port was com7 and the mapped port on the handheld was Com2. I set up the handheld to output to Com2 an the laptop to input from Com7 and it worked!
