Can you provide tips on how to lock down GPSGate for standard Windows 7 users to avoid tampering?

That article states it only works on Windows NT/XP/2000

I tried running in Windows 7, the service start but gaving issues with the output port on the GPS tunnel. How can I see what the output port is when running as a service? I have an app that needs to be pointed to that port.
