Connect to bluetooth device by address

Tue Jan 26, 2010 8:12 pm

Hi,

I've just download the evaluation version of BlueTool (I already have GPSTools) because I need to solve this problem:

1. discover Bluetooth device (I saw an example of it - OK)

2. check if the device has Serial service (I saw an example of it - OK)

3. get the address of the bluetooth device

4. associate/create a serial port to communicate with the device

Could you give me a short information on how to solve the point 3 and 4 ?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the answer.

I found how to get the address.

With regard to point 4: I've checked the previous topic in the forum and it seems that it is not possible to create a virtual com port to use in the standard serial communication.

Could you confirm ?

Next question: I've discovered my device and I know the name and the address. How can I create the corresponding RemoteService without to perform the DiscoverServices any time ?

Thank you.
