Converting NMEA format to Garmin Format

Fri Apr 21, 2006 10:51 pm

I am looking into this product to compensate for my Garmin GPS18 with USB such that I can use an external antenna. The external antenna works in the NMEA format, while the Garmin software works in the Garmin format not allowing the use of NMEA out of the box.

How do I go about this?

Thanks,

Brice

You can do this using GpsGate 2.0 It is currently available as beta, and you can download it from the bottom of the GpsGate download page:

Great! Thanks for the prompt reply! However, I was looking for some step by step guidance as to how to do it with the new version.

Thanks.

It is very easy.

Try to run the Wizard. It will configure GpsGate automatically, and inform you about which port to connect your GPS applications to.

(And please post questions regarding GpsGate 2.0, in the forum dedicated for GpsGate 2.0)
