i can't connect the gps receiver

Mon Apr 03, 2006 1:20 pm

Hello,

I'm trying for few days to connect my gps receiver with the map software (of course through gps gate) and i can't do it (i think i don't know how).
The settings for the map software allowd me to connect by COM ports 0,1,2,3 and 9, and the gps receiver is connected by bluetooth port COM 6.
How to set the gps gate? When i try to create virtual ports on output is giving the message "2404:Device already exists".(Now the settings are : Input COM6 and Output ?).

Thks for help

Input should be "COM Port" -> COM6

Output should be "Virtual Port" and then any free virtual port you find in the drop down, for example COM8.

Then start and connect your GPS application to COM8.

Note 1: that the created Output virtual port is different from the Input COM Port.

Note 2: On Pocket PC / Windows CE you can connect any number of GPS applications to your created Output virtual port (in this case COM8). On Windows you will need to create one Output virtual port per GPS application.
