TOMTOM NAV 5 AND FUGAWI DIGITAL GB MAPS

Fri Mar 31, 2006 2:32 am

recently installed gpsgate on a working ipaq 4700 with BT338 tomtom nav5.
selected the correct comm port abit doubtfull of the 4800 baud.
However have the gate connected, green icon displayed OK.
The TomTom nav5 does not see a gps fix although various ports have been assigned.
Why did I install the gpsgate?to enable Fugawi digital uk mapping to be used on the device.
Any thoughts on TomTom port assignment and Fugawi would be appreciated.
I have limited experience with gps.Fugawi yet to be explored of course
Kind regards

Update of the gpsgate ipaq 4700 fugawi and tomtom problems have been resolved both applications now respond to the assigned virtual port 7.
The gpsgate has indeed solved the problem, a very useful applicaton.
Any news of updates of this application would be appreciated.
I believe microsoft are adopting a similar application within PPC 5 any thoughts.
